How are we to properly understand the concept of "gender"?  Is it as simple as female or male, woman or man, or are there multiple genders determined by different personal qualities?  Sr. Allen explains the history and impact of the conflict between gender reality and gender ideology, concluding with an argument that the word "gender", as it is yet commonly understood, should be ransomed from those who would render it meaningless.
